Intent to Enroll
While as a full-time domestic undergraduate student you are automatically charged and enrolled in the Seattle University's student health insurance plan (SHIP) (if no waiver is submitted), submitting an intent to enroll will assist in expediting your enrollment process and ensure your coverage is active as of the beginning of the policy term date.

Waivers must be submitted each new academic year to avoid being charged the student health insurance fee. Waivers must be submitted online only; no paper, mail-in, fax-in, or call-in waivers are allowed. Waiver must be submitted before the specified deadline dates, no late waivers or exceptions will be accepted after the deadline date.
Important! Your health insurance plan must meet Seattle University’s minimum requirements in order for you to be granted an insurance waiver. If your plan does not meet the minimum criteria, your waiver will be denied and you’ll be responsible for the full insurance premium. You’ll know if your insurance plan has met the minimum criteria after you have submitted your online waiver: a “Waiver Accepted” or “Waiver Denied” message will be displayed immediately following your waiver submission.

Does your plan have Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health benefits?
Does your plan have prescription drug coverage?
Annual Period: (9/1/16-8/31/17)—Deadline is 9/27/16
Winter Period: (12/23/16-8/31/17)—Deadline is 1/9/17
Spring Period: (3/18/17-8/31/17)—Deadline is 3/31/17
